Emily Fitz Randolph

Meet Emily Fitz Randolph, founder of Itihas Ayurveda in Los Angeles.  Emily describes her journey away and back to Ayurveda.  Having grown up in the heart of Ayurveda and meditation in the U.S. (Fairfield, IA), Emily moved to NYC -- ready to conquer the business world and that she did for 15 years.  She managed campus recruiting for the top financial service firms in NYC where she excelled in the fast-paced corporate whirlwind that is Manhattan.  Her aha moments were incremental, but days of eating lunch at her desk and powering down her laptop at 8 pm began to wear thin.  Her early exposure to meditation and Ayurveda kicked in.  She started meditating again and began to wake up to the reality that outer appearances do not necessarily make an individual's inner world blissful.  Doing a complete 180, she signed up to become a teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and currently runs two TM Centers in Los Angeles (one in Santa Monica).  She also recently completed her Master's in Ayurveda at Maharishi International University and intends to marry the two:  Ayurveda and Transcendental Meditation.  Her passion is teaching - first, meditation and now, Ayurveda - she is sharing these ancient technologies with as many individuals as possible.  The name of her new business - Itihas Ayurveda - reflects her approach to encouraging others - the word "itihas" means blossoming of totality.  To Emily, it's a reminder that we all have the capacity to reach out full potential, it is just waiting to burst forth.
